chapter 4!

Two moons had passed since Stoneshadow and Brairpath had brought back skyclan, the kittypets had been getting bolder in their attacks and more frequent ashcloud, blackshadow and snowmoon had all been killed and goldenstripe had had his kits:emberkit and blazekit the only kits that had been born in moons. Stoneshadow was on a hunting patrol a small rustle in the bushes in front of him alerted him to the prey an instant before the scent of rabbit hit his scent glands his mouth watered the leafbare had been hard on prey. He darted into the bush and leaped on top of the rabbit he sunk his teeth into it's  throat mouth watering at the scent of fresh kill, Stoneshadow dragged it back to the thunderclan camp and took it straight to the nursery "Goldenstripe I thought the kits would like to try this rabbit I caught it just now." "That would be wonderful"Goldenstripe purred. He tossed it down in front of her, Goldenstripe ripped off a little bit of flesh and put it in front of Blazekit. he sniffed it then licked it he nibbled then devoured it "mmm" "I want more."He squeaked " I want some NOW!" Emberkit commanded her little voice stretched loud. Stoneshadow shared an amused look with Goldenstripe then they both burst out laughing. Stoneshadow backed out of the nursery, and walked to snowstars den "snowstar" he said "yes Stoneshadow" the reply came from inside "I think we should attack the kittypets pebblestream saw their camp from the border the other day" stoneshadow mewed "ok we will attack tomorrow I will tell the clan" at this she whisked her way out of the den and bounded up highledge "all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath the highledge for a clan meeting" as snowstar let out the familiar summons the clan emerged from around the clearing." cats of thunderclan I have some good news but first one apprentice has passed her final assessment, Maplepaw you have trained hard to learn the way of the warrior Midnightfur do you think maplepaw deserves to be a warrior" "She does she trained hard" he replied." maplepaw do you promise to uphold the warrior code even until your last breath"snowstar mewed "I do" maplepaws voice was faint "then from this day forward you will be called mapleshade" ""Mapleshade mapleshade Mapleshade."" The clan called out " now the good news the kittyp-" "how is that good news" Bramblenose interrupted, snowstar stared at him in cold stony silence. Bramblenose cowered "now the kittypets we will attack them we now know where their camp is Pebblestream saw it the other day. now go get rest and some fresh kill you will all need your full strength for tomorrow.

A battle patrol speed through the undergrowth towards the kittypet camp in stony silence, stoneshadow lifted his tail in an order to stop and move in slowly as the camp came into view. Then he gave the order "attack" he whispered and jumped into the clearing racing at the nearest kittypet slashing his claws down the she-cats flanks she squealed and raced away towards two-leg place. He looked around at the clearing most of the kittypets were racing away the rest noticing they were outnumbered  started racing away.

"in the end the kittypets just couldn't  hold their ground" stoneshadow reported to snowstar.
